Second: ITSDiag can act as a terminal program, and automatically or manually check the modem by sending AT commands that produce significant info about the modem. This info is helpful to Tech Support, because many modems report connection quality, line quality and firmware revision numbers. Third: ITSDIag can analyze the data it collected, and make some recommendations based on what it "knows" about Windows networking and Modem technology. A good percentage of computers connected to the Internet are not optimized in ways ITSDiag recommends. Fourth: This report can be sent via the program's built in e-mail funtion to the Tech Support Department of the user's ISP. The built in e-mail and dialup networking functions are as simple as possible to help users to succeed in sending the report. The ISP can respond with recommendations to improve the customers connection quality based on the equipment that the ISP is using.
